There's a reason I never rec HnG fic. I don't read HnG fic because while I enjoyed the manga, I don't like Touya/Hikaru and in general, I don't like HnG fic. It bores me. Beyond that, I don't normally read gender-switch AU's unless it's at least half-canon (ie Ranma). So it's really weird to me that I liked this. Except that Pru is a master, and so this Akira/Hikaru gender-bending AU actually sucked me in. Because it's not about Hikaru being a girl-- except that it is--, it's about that it's not about except that it is about that. Which is a crummy way to explain things but... it doesn't change things, and it does change things.
