Harry Potter

[Harry/Ron/Hermione] [Remus/Sirius] [Twins] [Misc, Gen, Etc.]

Harry/Ron/Hermione

Games by Antosha
Pairing: Ron/Hermione/Harry threesome
Warnings: Threesome, PWP

I love restrictedsection.org. I was looking for something good and smutty to read this morning before work after seeing all the new artwork by Ponderosa on pornishpixies, and this was going to be it. A threesome, some magic, some goodness, and one classic trio. Deliciously disjointed.

Bed and Board by Resonant
Pairing: Ron/Harry/Hermione threesome
Warnings: Post-series (no spoilers, AR) PWP-ish (some plot for AR)

Reading all this slash, I really hadn't found girls attractive in fic-sex in a long time, but this fic not only showcases the wonderful dynamic relationship between the trio of heros, but also makes Hermione extremely sexy; something rare for me to find in threesomes. The relationships are still in-character, but they're somehow even extended to a plausible conclusion that involves pages and pages of hot, smutty chair-sex. Seriously, enjoy.
(Has sequels linked at bottom that I have yet to read.)

Remus/Sirius

Stealing Harry by samvimes
Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Warnings: Slash, action, adventure, violence, language... But nothing extreme.

There's nothing quite like this. It's an epic HP alternate-reality fic-- but remember the key difference between AR and AU.  An AU is completely different, whereas an AR keeps many things the same and often takes off in a different direction from a key point.  In this, Malfoy makes it to Peter Pettigrew before Sirius does, and so Sirius never goes to Azkaban.  Instead, he has a house on Privet drive in order to keep an eye on Harry, but Aunt Petunia is very careful that Harry never interacts with him, until it becomes clear that something has to be done. The boy has to be stolen.

All Through the Night by Casira.
Pairing: Sirius/Remus
Warnings: None

This is so...subtle and slow and /good/ you finish it and you're just...happy. XD

The Dating Disasters of Sirius Black by kabeyk [Sirius/Remus, and like a billion other pairings. Seriously.]
Man, it's been a long time since I've recc'd any Potter. Like waaaay too long. This was fantastic! It's long, it's involved, and it's -fantastic-. Seriously, I think I died of happiness reading this. It's everything and nothing like what you would expect from four prank-tastic guys sharing space at school. It's Remus' POV, so you get a fair amount of reasonable thought tied in with all the madness that is Sirius. You'll love it. XD

Apogee by Llamajoy [Sirius/Remus]
Ah, I miss the days of playing sardines with the kids! Not that any of my games of Sardines ended like this, mind you, but it's still a fun game. If you haven't played it before, it's explained in the fic, (Briefly and succinctly!) and it's loads of fun. I suppose on some level this is PWP, but I think I was too wrapped up in childhood memories of Sardines and then the fun afterwards in this fic to notice. XD

Hang the Moon by Canis M. [Sirius/Remus]
Lovely! I know I'm putting it down as Sirius/Remus, but that's only half the point-- it's also got loads of lovely gen in it, and more than half the fic is WPP down in Hogsmead pulling pranks and buying sweets, and that's all done in just such a fantastically believable way. I'm always impressed with how some of these people pull of the pranks pulled by MWPP, making their characters into something halfway between Fred & George and Harry-Ron-Hermione with a dash of Neville thrown in. SO GOOD.

Lovelorn in London by Leandra and Raina [Sirius/Remus]
Okay. You're looking at that title and thinking, "Oh god, what was MK thinking?!", but seriously, give me a minute. This? This is like Sleepless in Seattle, only shorter, simpler and more direct. It's good, it's fun, it's got sweet moments and sad moments and very nice writing. But what really sold me? Is the moment with the names in the phone booth. You'll know when you get there. I could just see that being an -amazing-, always-remembered-by-movie-fans moment in some flick. Seriously. I really, really, realllllly enjoyed this. And I honestly didn't think I would, at first!

Rainy Night by Raina [Sirius/Remus]
Post-MWPP but pre-death-of-Potters. It's a three-part fic (all linked here for your convenience) that is just...not smooth, but certainly very connected, and agh, really, really well done. Most of it is gen, though it becomes S/R at the end, that's not the point. I mean, it is, but it isn't. It's really more about these other things that...that I can't tell you about. ;_; It was good.

Last Laugh by Lise [Mostly gen, then some light Sirius/Remus]
AH! AHHHHHH! I started reading this series of MWPP-fics and wound up staying up way past when I should have. This is almost entirely the insane antics of the Marauders as Sirius and James have one week to out-do each other in pranks. AND OH GOD IT'S BRILLIANT. Made me desperately miss pranking residence in first year, seriously. I only wish I could pull off the stuff they do. The stuff they do! It's amazing! And it starts off with...a ha ha ha ha, a bang! A BANG! No. No, but-- oh god. I'm laughing my ass off and my eyes are watering. Get in there! (And let us not forget that Sirius and James are not the only sneak-tastic pranksters. Remus is -amazing- in this!)

Flying Without a Broomstick by Lise. [Sirius/Remus, Gen]
Follows the previous! If you go up one directory you can get the whole load, but I'm going to rec a few of my favourites from this series because it was so good. Sirius and James aren't speaking to each other after an argument about quidditch (and where have we heard that later before?) that becomes a giant pain in the ass for everyone. Remus resigns himself to watching them act like two year olds, but man, what he'd give for a leash. Toddlers at least came with leashes.

Change Your Mind by Lise [Sirius/Remus]
I skipped a few here but had to rec this one as well because it takes place when the Marauders finally get their animagus potions set and ready. With tiny references to X-Men that you wouldn't quite pick up on unless you look at the description of//fanart linked at the beginning of the fic (drawn by one of my favourite HP-fanartists). It's just...wow. I'm continually very happy with how great the characterization in these is-- they're all such boys, and do stupid, stupid boy things, but they're also...just brilliant. *_*

The Second Coming by Lise [Sirius/Remus]
OKAY, I KNOW. I know I just rec'd four of her in a row, but this is unrelated. It's from a totally different arc. I almost didn't want to rec it, but it was ripping at my heart so badly that I had to put it out here so that it could rip out your heart, too, even though nothing particularly bad happens in it. It's pre-OoTP and... and so damn sad! Not even sad, it's just... ;_; It just is. So read it. And then try not to bawl.

The Snowy Day by MidniteMaraud_r [Sirius/Remus]
Er...P?WP? Very teenager. I think I just needed something like this, a get-together fic that's a little teenage-angsty without all the stupidity of kohl-eyes and leather pants and all that crap you find too, too often in these things. It's kind of reasonable, which is weird for the subset of the genre. But hey, I liked it.

Imbibe by Kel [Sirius/Remus]
What can I say? There was more than one time while reading this that I had to put on that other British accent, the one that makes people mix up Aussies and Brits and read a bit aloud, and then laugh a little-- partly at me, and partly at them. Partly, I think, at how strange it was that this was as good as it was when I half-expected it to be bad. "...or when Sirius had accidentally fallen asleep as Padfoot in the Shack and woken up the next morning with his nose in Remus' armpit--"

A Number of Things Which Sirius Black Did Not Give to Remus Lupin For Christmas by Kel [?? Sirius/Remus]
A ha ha ha, okay-- this is funny enough on it's own. I mean, right from near the start, you'll be laughing. Sirius is funny of course, and James is just so James, making sharp-witted comments and then negating them with his own silly prattishness, and Remus is kind of soft but sharp and smart and then out of nowhere-- out of nowhere, Peter is the funniest of the four. Seriously. I died laughing, and then it was further clarified and I had to die all over again. Brilliant. Oh, and there are small, very serious details scattered in that are also lovely.

"Sirius," James said. "You know we're your friends, right? Is there anything you want to tell us? Anything you've realized recently? Anything at all?"

"Wormtail smells funny," Sirius said after a moment.

A Mirror with Memory by Kel [Sirius/Remus]
You have to love a story that starts out with,
"He's back."
"Right, then."
They got drunk,
blah blah blah. It's immediately post-GoF and just...well, it's funny and sweet and only a little bit sad. There's some smooching and such in there, and patronus charms.

Psychological Effects by Jay Simon [Gen? Sirius/Remus]
I shortened the title there, just because it's a touch long. The fic isn't too long, but it sure packs a goodly amount in there. (There are two short sequels in her memories.) Half of what sold me on this is Sirius' insane pseudo-logic and his adamant defence of it. There is a soft, slightly-sad undertone to one part, but it's just because of what you know, not anything that happens in the fic.

Say Goodnight and Go by Shanalle [Remus/Sirius]
Oh. You could be sold just because of Remus, but I hope instead that you would be sold because of the writing, the whole premise, the tiny inserts and that final ending kick. As he poked a fork mindlessly into his treacle tart, Remus accepted with quiet dismay that he was a sixteen-year-old queer werewolf who wanted to lick Sirius Black.

The Lovesong of Remus J. Lupin by Shanalle [Sirius/Remus]
If you haven't read The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot, ignore the title. It's meant to be melancholy, not adolescent. I love how much like a dog or a cat Sirius is in this, just in his small little actions. I love how everything is so normal, and so decidedly not normal for Remus. And how it all falls together. he’s sleeping and then he is suddenly so not because there’s a big pile of Sirius on top of him, talking of breakfast or snow or (strangely once) elephants, and...

The Waiting by Shanalle [Remus/Sirius]
Again with the lovely falling-into-place that has a novelty I'll never get tired of. Lovely, with the "Bollocks to this"-Remus and the goodness of crawling into bed near a fire and a book and hot cocoa.

Seven Things That Didn't Happen On Valentines Day at Hogwarts, Or Maybe They Did by Glitterati [Remus/Sirius]
Sirius hummed lightly, and they drowsed until eight, when James shrieked that he'd figured it out, and an enormous stag ripped through Remus' bedcurtains, shoving them off the mattress, and wreaking general havoc.

OH GOD I LOVE THIS. I don't care what you do, so long as you absolutely positively make sure you read at least this fic before you die. I'm not kidding. YOU MUST.

Gasp by Pru [Remus/Sirius]
It appears at first glance to be a PWP, but..trust me, you'll just get past that and hit something beautiful, even though the other leads into that and...argh! Beautifully tied together.

How to Say Goodbye by Tromboneborges [Genish, Remus/Sirius-ish]
This is a happy piece, so don't go yanking out your hankies, alright? Mostly good, fun boyishness with boyish prattle and a little bit of something at the end. Very enjoyable.

Turnabout by Sam Vines [Sirius/Remus]
Sirius likes making people wibble. And he has a very small dictionary with words of two-syllables in it. Remus... well, he's got a big dictionary with words like pastiche in it. Which is cool in a different way.

All the Comforts of Home [2] by Mousapelli [Remus/Sirius]
Remus? Dead set hillarious. Sirius? Just looking for something dead and smelly to roll around in.

Untitled by Mousapelli [Genish Remus/Sirius]
This has...no plot, but it's not smutty. It's just...sweet. Made me feel kind of fuzzy inside.

So You Want to Transfigure Yourself a Rock Band by Mousapelli [Remus/Sirius]
A classic of the genre about a black bird, complete with 70's glam-rock. This is linked to the memories. Go edit >> find >> SYWTTYARB.

He's Not Heavy, He's my Boggart by Mousapelli [Remus/Sirius, James/Lily]
Last time, I swear! But come on, that title and the combination of the opening scene alone would have had me recc'ing this. It's PURE GOLD. Read. And grow fat. XD

[Suffice to say there is much good fic in her memories, not just this particular section. I held off on a lot of her other stuff, too, even though it's all gold. So go read yourself some Mousapelli. It could very well take you days, and that's a good thing.]

Vector by Pru [one-sided Sirius/Remus]
Okay, so... read this, but you also have to promise me you'll read at least the first three things she has under 'novellas' under 'hp' on her site, because they all tie together. It's Christmas pre-that Halloween and post-Hogwarts for the MWPP, and Sirius has moved to lovely muggle-London, where he proceeds to spend almost an entire day at Harrod's looking for presents like playing cards with nudey women on them. Oh, but it's much more serious than I make it out to be-- it just happens that there are funny bits and sad bits and serious bits and a lot of bits that go back to those years at Hogwarts.

That day, he hadn't noticed Remus until the boy had said, "Very nice to meet you."

Sirius hadn't stopped noticing him since.

Arpeggio by Pru [Remus/Sirius]
This is beautiful and only really covers the first two or three years at Hogwarts for my two favourite not-really-dogs.
At lunchtime, when Peter and James return to the room to check up on their patient in residence, they find Sirius sitting on the foot of Remus' bed, scowling and sanding down one of Remus' bedposts, grinding away what looks suspiciously like a knife-mark, and Remus curled up in his comforters, happily gorging himself on a truly ridiculous amount of chocolate. The dorm room is otherwise a disaster, with books and papers and clothes strewn about the place; Remus' worn carpet bag is trapped in one of the hanging candelabra's in the ceiling.

"What on earth happened?" James demands.

"Oh, it's fine," Remus says around the chocolate. "Sirius said he'd clean it up."

Twins +/- Others

Crossing Lines by Red Jester
Pairing: Twincest
Warnings: Twincest

This is actually fascinating because most twincest is twins in bed
somewhere having some PWP fun, but this has only light action and
very much deals with dealing with the first bit of twincest. When one twin makes a move on the other, how is he supposed to react?

The Portrait by Strandia
Pairing: Double the twincest
Warnings: Double the fun (twincest)

Five minutes into this fic I had an idea of where it would go, but it had the magical wonder of that not ruining it for me. Seriously. It was still amazing even though it was fairly obvious where it was going. Smut and... voyeurism? Well, stuff happens. And it's good.

Double the Fun by Lunadeath
Pairing: Fred/Harry/George
Warnings: Twincest + Harry

(I love how on my HP page all the warnings are the same as the pairing...)
This is here because I am a sucker for Fred/Harry/George -- for
various reasons. 1) The twins respect Harry enough to give him the
Marauders Map - a key item. 2) Harry respects the twins enough to
fund WWW. 3) Harry can tell them apart. It's cannon. Seriously.
...And you know. I find twins/Harry smut to be very, very sexy.
Especially like this.

A Matter of Identity by Khirisah
Pairing: Twins x Oliver
Warnings: Twincest + lovely captain

Delicious. It starts off with some totally in-character twin action (of the non-smut variety) and develops into something that could totally happen in the book. THEN the slash kicks in by accident -- and involves Oliver because OMGBiggerStaffHowSexy. And you know. Oliver. Hot. (I also like Oliver/Harry or maybe Oliver/ Harry/Twins. I need to find some of that.) So yeah. FUN.

This Happy Morning by Isolde
Pairing: Twins/Harry
Warnings: Twincest

I've read other stuff by Isolde and -adored- it. This was no exception. It's Christmas, it's post-OotP, and Harry is sharing a room with the twins. Some voyeurism, some Twins/Harry goodness and some delicious, delicious smut. Need I say more?

Cruel Intentions by Stellamira
Pairing: Twincest, Twins x Oliver
Warnings: Twincest, some semi-non-con-voyeurism. Backwards.

I admit when I started reading this I thought the plot was over done and it would probably be kind of crappy. I was wrong. The twins are pranksters no matter -what- they're doing, and I lovelovelove Oliver. Especially freakedout!Oliver. Not to mention this weird side note about Hagrid that you'll be like OMGWTF____?! I'm keeping that spoiler safe. Just read it and enjoy -- in progress.
[Updated link, now with more chapters!]

The Way We Work by Aspen
Pairing: Twincest
Warnings: Shower-goodness twincest

I can't even remember how I stumbled on Aspen's page Paper Moon,
but I do remember laughing my ass off and loving it. The slogan is
"Slash! Sex! And a Total Disregard for Plot!" Anyways, Twins,
shower, goodness. Smut. You'll laugh, you'll...well, you'll laugh.
XD Enjoy.

Double or Nothing by Calico
Pairings: Fred/George/maleOC

The maleOC is kind of unimportant-- he's there and in the sex and everything, but he's more like a catalyst or a porn or something. Yeah, he's like porn. I'm not sure how to explain that. Anyways, it's almost a PWP, but it's not really, because...well... that's hard to explain, too. The opening lines are:"You know what," Lance breathed, the first time he took Fred home, "I think your brother's hot."

Fred froze. This could be trouble. "Ron?"

Gen, Misc, Etc.

Four and a Half Minutes by Resonant [Harry/Ron sort of, sort of Gen]
I can't give you any plot points on this without ruining it, but it's short, it's neat and it's got a good grounding in someting HP-universe-plausible. And it's rated G! A nice, light piece of writing.

Remus Lupin & The Prizoner of Azkaban by Kel [Gen]
Oh, oh! Oh, I loved this! It's POA entirely from Remus' perspective and it's just...so plausible, with all these details and things that should be causing him to freak out, but it's got this very controlled-Remus-narrator that just...holds everything in place while the shit hits the fan. Fantastic.

Filter by Pru [Gen]
A beautiful, rough but smooth piece post-OoTP. I can't really explain any of it but to say that it kind of made my heart hurt, but in a good way. I miss things like this.

Sweet Dreams are Made of This by McKay [Everyone/Everyone WTF hillarity ensues]
Oh my god. Ginny, Ginny--! This is why fandom is so bad and so very good at the same time.

A Particular Affinity by Canis M. [Gen]
Sirius tries to figure out what his animagus form should be -- serious, sweet, funny, very boyish.

Out of The Woods by Canis M. [Genish]
This is neat, kind of tidy and rough at the same time. The boys spend a night in the Forest counting magical creatures. A full moon, and there is a limit to 10 fairies.

Close Enough by Helen [Harry/Ron]
For all that this is kind of dark and weird and talking about these things, the characters say the wittiest, funniest things at the worst possible times. God, I love it. "I wouldn't care," Draco said, "about what you get up to, you understand, except I'm filled with hearts and flowers, of late,...

Chasing the Moon by Sam Vines [Remus/Moon]
Er...and by Moon I mean OFC, but...she's the moon. >_> Trust me on this one. Er, slight gore warning. But oh, it's beautiful and cold.

Let's Get Physical! by Mousapelli [Gen]
James decides he and Sirius are going to get in shape-- the muggle way!

Stuck on You by Mad Maudlin [Harry/Ron]
This was... awkward. But oddly sweet. The point is that it's awkward, see? Very early-mid-pubescent with fun magic and these little jokes about other things in the background that had me laughing. XD Quite classy, really!

Second Short by Ignipes [Gen]
And by that I mean it doesn't have a title, just read the second drabble here. Hillarity with Mr. Weasley and muggle goods ensues. HILLARITY.

Harry Potter & The Eagle of Truthiness by C. Morgan [Gen, Crossover with The Colbert Réport]
Oh my god. Youko rec'd this to me ages ago, but I only got to read it recently, and man am I glad I did. TCR is perfectly represented as a DADA class here. Colbert is an amazing Prof and so Wizardy that you'll start imagining him using magic on the next show. Everyone else is a cliché, and it's so, so perfect that way.
