-------SO MISCELLANEOUS, THEY'RE MISC ON THE MISC PAGE

[Eerie Queerie] The Space Between by Elyndys.
Hasunuma/Mitsuo, 30k.  A kind of sad, sweet thing.

[Denki] Unknown Title?? by Harukami
Canon pairings.  Denki "Electricity" is a yaoi manga by one of my top three yaoi artist/authors Naono Bohra and scanlated by Shi-Ran. (You can download it online) This is a fantastic short piece that can fit in after the end of the manga and it's ...it's so GOOD. His brother is so casual and so intent and so in character and...GAH! Much love.

[Fruits Basket] Food for Thought by Celeste
So Canon it Hurts. I mean, I never read FB fic, but I read this, and I loved it, because it could totally just slip right into the series and you wouldn't even blink, you would just love it.

[Slayers] Something More by DQBunny
And I never read Slayers, either, but this is wonderful.  Fun, very canon, very in-charcter and plausible and believable and just FUN.

[Fullmetal Panic] Counting by Azurite [Sousuke/Kaname]
Spoilers for FMP: The Second Raid, episode 5. She also then extrapolates upon that and just goes...WOW. Somewhere new and insane and hardcore. If you watched episode 5 and thought, "Holy shit, I had no idea they were finally going to address those issues", this is the thing for you. Serious, sweet, and...just enough angst. Oh, I just about died.

[Noir] L'ombre de ton ombre by Yasmin M. [Gen]
Post-series spoilers of sorts. I haven't really read anything else for Noir, but I read this out of curiosity and had to rec it simply for that slow-fast-detached feeling to the narration that came off as very much of-the-series for me. I can't really say much else about it without screwing things up, but... it's nice. Kind of tense in that Noir-way.

[DNAngel] My December by Suppi-chan [Satoshi/Daisuke, a little Dark/Daisuke, mostly Gen, sort of.]
I can't believe I hadn't read this until [info]aishuu rec'd it on [info]rec_a_day, because I love pretty much everything that Suppi writes. Her writing is dark and heavy and delicate, and it settles warm in your belly. I'm not lying. It's the kind of stuff that makes you cry, but you're laughing when you're crying and you're happy and sad. Not that this made me cry, but it gave me that kind of feeling, just like everything she writes. At any rate, QS calls it "THE" Satoshi/Daisuke fic, and I'd have to agree. Even better though is that it might be THE DNAngel fic. It's got that level of referencing in it.

[Final Fantasy VIII] The True Story of the Butterfly and the Bumblebee by Bottle-of-Shine [Seifer/Zell]
Let me get one thing out right away: I HATED FFVIII. With a passion. But I love Zell, and I'll slash him with just about anybody. Seifer/Zell is particularly fun, and this one is especially awkward and angry and sweet in all the right ways; it's from Seifer's perspective and very, very good.

[Final Fantasy X-2] Too Old For Sleepovers by Harukami [Paine x Riku]
Scroll down past the FFVII drabble for the FFX-2 drabble in this entry. It's cute, it's fun, and it's light yuri. ^^

[X-Men]

Permutations by Amy and Ximera
Pairings: Combo-pairings between all four of Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Gambit & Iceman.
Warnings: I believe the plan was to have their favourite characters have sex in as many possible ways as possible.

Basically an 8-part smut series with some underlying emotional issues and mini-plots that are worked out. Key though is the many, many ways you can combine these four guys in having sex. O_O Seriously, it's pretty creative. The only real drawback was how weird Remy was in the very last part, which I thought was kind of OOC. Other than that, a very hot, very fun time.

[Winnie the Pooh]
In Which Eeyore Observes the Passing of the Seasons. [Gen] [YULETIDE]
Smooth narration very much in the style of the original books.

[Anastasia]
Dimitri in the Old Palace [Gen] [YULETIDE]

Boosad and solid and pre-movie (1997) this is great character development for Dimitri.

[Phillip Pullman]
The Golden Compass: For Friendship's Sake by ?? for Me! [Gen] [YULETIDE]
This is a beautiful piece of writing that fits in near the end of the first book in Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy: The Golden Compass. It focuses on Iorek and Lyra, both of whom are characters I think are nearly impossible to nail, but this person did it and kicked some ass while doing it. A seriously beautiful thing.
