But it's complicated, and very vulnerable, and they are sent to live in a house with Sasuke as a kind of balance. Sasuke's not sure why, but Tsunade insists, and she has very good reasons. Hope by Shi-chan Iruka forgets an important promise to Naruto and while running around trying to find him so he can applogize, he runs into a group of enemy shinobi with less than benign intentions. Eventually, Iruka recovers, but can not stand the touch of people other than Naruto, so Tsunade gives him a special requirement, and Kakashi a mission. Flowers for Iruka

I saw a lot of them in the Gundam Wing fandom and they always just ticked me off - it always seemed like an excuse to make an uke into a woman, to kind of...ease the yaoiness for some people somehow. But this is... Iruka is still very much male and at the same time, it has a wonderfully realistic and motherly pregnant feeling to it. Kakashi is very much in character - pervy, late, lazy-- and yet he's the perfect husband. I just want to run out and find myself someone just like him and then get pregnant because no matter how much shit happens in this story, you feel... really good about the baby. fic. I mean, they were fantastic, her 1x2 is snarky and fun and settles
well in your stomach, but this may be one of her early, first forages
into a new fandom, and that fandom is Naruto.
And I am happy. Giddy. Because while Kakashi and Iruka have
some similarities to Heero and Duo, she managed to write them
completely differently, as they are, and focus in on just what makes
people fangirl over a pairing that has almost no basis in the canon.
It's Kakashi, it's Iruka, it's Pakkun.

funniest, most in-character Naruto fics I have ever read. Basically
Gaara rescues (?) Iruka (If you can...call it a rescue...) and upon his
return to Leaf, Tsunade orders Iruka to pass the message of family onto
Leaf by becoming "mother" to Gaara, Sasuke and Naruto. I'm not a huge
Gaara fan, but in this he is definitly my favourite character. XD The
mushrooms, the milk, the poetry and eggs. It's genius. Just read it and
bust a gut.
