One Piece
[Zoro/Sanji] [Gen, Misc, Etc.]

Zoro/Sanji

Senses by Sherry Marie
Pairing: Zoro X Sanji
Warnings: yaoi, unfinished

Three of five parts so far completed. This is basically a series of connected mini-fics where Zoro and Sanji start to experience each other with the five senses. (One sense per chapter)  It's really just shonen ai right now, but kind of fun. ^^

Tea and Sympathy by Devo
Pairing: Zoro X Sanji X Zoro
Warnings: Yaoi, NC-17, complete

Definitely the best One Piece fic I've read so far. This author knows exactly how to drag it out and how long to keep the reader in suspense.  The days are hot in Grand Line, and the crew has taken to their birthday suits...

Dreams Come True  by Babaca
Pairing: Zoro X Sanji X Nami
Warnings: Bisexuality, Het, Yaoi, complete

It's not just Nami that Sanji loves! And hey, you'd better be carefull waking him up in the morning.
Read It! and Read the sequel, and Read it's sequel!

Schoolboys Arc by Shuttlebut Inc. (Whom I adore.)
Pairing: Sanji x Zoro
Warnings: AU, multiple series.

This is part of a series (
more than the 4 parts of this particular section) where everyone
go to...school. >_> That sounds retarded, doesn't it? Forgive me.
Just picture all the nakama-goodness of One Piece inside a school
without all the "OMG you stole my boyfriend, bitch! Die! Now I
become crazy stalker!"--scaryness that happens in most school-fics
(coughNarutoFandomGirlscough). Anyways, this is the first section and the rest can be found at Dizzy.

I Touch Myself by Shuttlebut Inc. (lovelovelove)
Pairing: Sanji, Zoro, Sanji x Zoro
Warnings: Masturbation, and lots of it.

The summary for this says it
all: "THE masturbation fic. ...No fic about masturbation should be
this long." And honestly, that's the truth. Basically, there's a
bit of a Sanji-Zoro-get-together fic smothered in lots and lots of
jerking off at sea. Not a bad combo. XD

The Best Medicine by scuttlebut_inc
Pairing: Zoro x Sanji
Warnings: squick? I dunno, I'm sure lots of people have sex when they're sick. (It's just a flu or something)

So Zoro is sick and Sanji has to take care of them and what the hell -- let's have sex! It's just good, like everything by Scuttlebut.

Newlyweds by Peroxidepest17
Pairing: Zoro + Sanji (75% one sided. 50% Zoro, 25% Sanji.)
Warnings: Hillarious, sequel to mini-drabble but not necessary to read that first, really.

In a previous drabble, something very Kyou Kara Maou happens when on a small island one act of violence between Zoro and Sanji is local custom for a marriage proposal and so the two are married.  Now Sanji has to grumble and try to figure out a way to escape the stupid marriage that Zoro seems only too happy to endure and even his darling Nami-san is all for the union! How much worse can things get?!
Hillarity ensues.

The Cure by xparrot
Pairing: Zoro x Sanji
Warnings: Nothing graphic.

You will laugh and then you will think about it and laugh some more. It's a 300 word drabble that is just...so...so insanely not possible but completely possible and somehow canon without being canon.  Seriously.

Swordsmen According to Sanji by Cairnsy
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji/Zoro (no sex)
Warnings: A little language, but really... you've gotten used to me by now, I think.

Amazing.  The whole fic is the snark between Zoro and Sanji-- Sanji riling Zoro up, Zoro speeding up his workout so he can finish faster and then beat the crap out of that shitty love cook, and Usopp freaking out on the side.  But it's so much MORE than that. It's those unexpected little character traits that pop up in One Piece and make you burst out laughing. It's cute, and I reallllly hope she writes a sequel, because frankly, it demands one all on it's own.

Nicotene and Gravy by Devosama
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji
Warnings: the usual

A fantastic fic I read regularly but somehow have always forgotten to rec. It's got nice, solid characterization with smooth blending of plot (?) and smut and just..development. Solid, solid development.  Really nice and much more BOOM! than I make it out to be. It's just that afterwards I feel really content.

Frying Pan by Paxnirvana
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji, surprise sub-pairing
Warnings: Well, the sub-pairing really pleased me, so hopefully if you like what I rec you'll like that, too. Otherwise you're a big weirdo.

Fun Fun Fun! This is really awesome, just bust-a-gut fun and soooo sneaky snarky good.  Really, fantastic.

Somewhere that is not Sanji's kitchen by Alita B Angel
Pairings: Zoro/Sanji/Zoro

Smut, but hillarious. And how often do you get to read hillarious smut? Not as often as you'd like. Plus, it has the added bonus of being all snarky-boys-are-boysness you always hope for but rarely see. Lovely in it's smutty, hillarious man-action.

Dawn Watch with Coffee and Turnovers by Paxnirvana
Pairings: Zoro/Sanji
Warnings: Smut

Smut. Unrepentant, delicious smut. But you know, it's also got just this...inkling of something else that binds it all together so nicely.

Idee Fixe by Scuttlebut Inc [Zoro/Sanji]
This is great, but the first chapter is friends locked (you can be added pretty easily) because of sort-of-NC. Mmm, hard to explain, I was worried before I started reading it, but it's really just fantastic and full of little details and awesome character development that you'll adore. Very serious, very good.

Arrangements and Fair Trade by tripoverhercats [Zoro/Sanji]

This is...weird. I mean, it's good, it balances things, it has a lot of neat under-wit, but it's not exactly what you're used to from any facet of the One Piece fandom, and there's a very good reason for that: It takes place very, VERY shortly after Sanji has joined the crew and it's from his perspective. We can all agree that the main element that makes One Piece so addictive is that close-knit camaraderie between the crew, but you also have to admit that it takes a little time to develop that and sink into it for each new character. So if Sanji seems a little strange in this, I take it that way, and it works. It works well. It's just so... well it's a Sanji-centric narrator, but the loveliness is that end moment where everything suddenly just turns the tables on him after all his snark and cool, calm, collected strategy. It's -fantastic-. And it has almost no plot. XD

Enter Summer by Snarkymonkey [Zoro/Sanji]
'Near smut', she calls it. It's fun, it's snarky, and it's just in time for the onset of cold weather! And you know, Zoro and Sanji. What more do you want, almost a month after Speak Like a Pirate Day?

There was another One Piece fic I wanted to rec here, but all of a sudden I can't read it because it's "protected". >_> I don't remember what it was, but it was good.

The Way Inside by Sherrymarie [Zoro/Sanji]
Short, quick, effective-- very to the point, but somehow languorous, too. It's weird, but I like it. Kind of calming.

Vanity - Famous Last Stand by odrade42 [Zoro/Sanji]
Hillarity ensues! I love how in One Piece you can throw these mad people onto a crazy island and absolute insane goodness comes out of it. SO GOOD. Zoro, you are the ideal. XD

Crossing Down by Snarkymonkey [Zoro/Sanji]
Fun island!stop snark. I can't say more than that except that I love the whole...the whole thing, everything. It's good, simple fun. XD

An Obvious Slant by ?? [Zoro/Sanji]
I don't know who this was by or what it was called because once again it's gone protected-entry on me. -_-; But whatever it was, I liked it, damnit!

Grandline, the Land of Zolos by alita_b_angel [Zoro x Sanji, Zoro/Luffy]
This is crack. But not like "WTF THAT IS CRACK"-crack, but more like, "Ha ha ha, I can only sort of see this happening in the manga, but I still -can-"-crack. 60% crack, 40% maybe. And fun, and short, and funny. XD The second part, however (there's more than one here) is absolute CRACK. CRACK ON A STICK. And like, the kind of crack that kills you because it wasn't a clean batch. Just so you know. But you'll still like it. I think.

Somewhere That Is Not Sanji's Beloved Kitchen by alita_b_angel [Sanji x Zoro]
Seriously. She makes this sound like crack, but when you read it, it's not at all. It's just GOOD and smutty and GOOD.

Marriage Cycle by Celeste [Zoro x Sanji]
Oh come on. If you haven't been reading her marriage crack series that turned into something even better than you thought it could possibly have been, you've been missing out.

Shared Spaces by paxnirvana [Zoro/Sanji]
This was...weird. In a good way. I had a week around Zoro's birthday where a flood of Zoro-Sanji fic came out, and this is just past that. It's fun, slippery, and involves baths. (What more can you ask?) What's best about it is that you go through all this smut-- which is very nice -- and then there is this hillarious ending that you just...you just have to love it. That's all I can say, really.

Nakama Cycle by Celeste [Gen? Some Zoro/Sanji]
A series of drabbles following the "Courtship Rituals" universe that I love so much. They're all really, reaaaally good, but my favourite from this set has to be that last little bit, which is a very nice tie-back to a casual mention earlier on. Lovely.

The First Time by sherrymarie [Zoro/Sanji]
Classic in so many ways. I mean, there's the standard set up with this awesome, AWESOME tag line at the end. I died.

Lessons Taught by paxnirvana [Zoro/Sanji]
This follows "Bad Timing" (link included at top of fic) and ...resolves things? >_> Sort of?
...
Really, have you ever read anything bad by this girl? No, I thought not.

Parenthood Cycle by Celeste [Zoro/Sanji but GEN]
Seriously. Because the focus isn't them at all. It's their kids. And it's not crack. (!?) No really. Another series of drabbles solving Luffy's conundrum.

Easy Rhythm, Wrong Drum by snarkymonkey [Zoro/Sanji]
Is it bad that this reminded me of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves? Because I fucking loved that movie when I was a kid. My sister and I must have watched it like thirty times on VHS. We would rewind it and just watch it again. This is good-- has a kind of leading ending, some snark, some sex, some nakama-antics, and some hillarity, and it all ties together rather nicely. Very enjoyable.

Walking Through by Sherry Marie [Zoro/Sanji with hits of Zoro/Luffy, Zoro/Johnny/Yosaku]
There is a brief warning at the top of this for implied character death, but don't worry. If I read it, it can't be that sad. At any rate, this is a kind of over-the-years birthday thing for Zoro, pretty realistic, too, going from when he was very young to sometime in the un-dated future. You'll enjoy it.

Gen, Misc, Etc.

Drabbles Loose in Chronology by Alita_b_angel [Smoker x Ace, Zoro x Sanji]

More crack! But you know. Hillarity and other stuff ensue. (It was Zoro's birthday! You didn't expect mass-Zoro drabbles? Come on.)

Sanji Drabble by paxnirvana [gen]
Ooh. Short, strong, serious. The ending is very classic and sharp, leads into something that isn't actually there but that you can imagine clearly anyway. Fantastic!

Through Children's Eyes by chapter_house [Nakamaship with eventual ZoSan]
Okay, so the premise of this sounds overdone, but the execution of it, the delivery and the characterization, the plot-- all of it is brilliant, understated, very much cool and calm and relaxed and with a good feel of canonishness about it. Zoro and Luffy are hit by a beam from a mad merman who ate the "Gaki Gaki" fruit, and so are stuck as 6-year-olds for 30 days. Merry is then in a weaker defensive position, on the run from marines and their captain is-- Well, then again, there's not too much of a difference from how Luffy normally operates.

Untitled by nike_victory [Gen]
I know what com it's on, okay? But it's -gen-. And a nice, snarky piece of gen it is, too. Has the classic OP hijinks you'd see in the manga, the snark, the situation fits into some recent chapters of the manga (not -too- recent, but recent, this arc) and just...good, fun, easy.

Hands by Becky [Robin/Sanji]
Her entire purpose was to write doujinshi!sex!Sanji, and oh, oh, it succeeds brilliantly. Really... doujinshi-tastic sex with full on abuse of Robin's devil-fruit ability and Sanji's.... er...excellent ability to be bottom even with a girl. No, really.
